New Little Rock Sticks

Little Rock Tactics recently released new stick diagrams for its Black Jack routes. It wasn't an easy task updating those sticks. It was a tough line to walk, balancing information and simplicity. In the end, we elected to go with two kinds of sticks -- a full color and simpler black and white. I like to think of them as day and night sticks.

The problem with the day or color sticks is that they can look awfully cluttered (especially when used at night). We couldn't find the best scale of chart to use behind the stick. Everything had it's advantages and disadvantages. In the end, I wasn't happy with any of the 'backgrounds'.

Ever the geek, I was checking out Google Maps the other day and found they've added terrain to their map options. So, using only terrain as my background, I overlayed the stick on to it. Then I added black diamonds and such (at a low transparency) to add to the S/A.

Fly with it, let me know how much you like it. It is only a stick. It isn't perfect, but if I is popular, I will redo the official sticks in this same manner.
